Based on recent history, I wouldn't trust the US and/or UK to lead a military intervention into anything, whatever the stated justification. They've consistently lied about their reasons for going to war and then they continue to lie about how the wars are being conducted, the damage and casualties that result from their own incompetence and who the real winners and losers are.
A military intervention into Syria by the latest "coalition of the willing" can only result in more mayhem, more instability and a further weakening of the international community's ability to act collectively and actually achieve something positive. That's assuming that ability isn't already beyond repair.
But the corporations that manufacture arms, along with those that supply and support troops in the field, would do quite well, I'm sure.
