Arrests children, denies them due process and terrorizes them into confessing to things they didn't necessarily do. But if we criticize Israel for this behaviour we can look forward to our own elected representatives accusing us of being anti-semitic. Awesome, isn't it?

A great many Israelis do not like the far right government there..the ones that Harper likes.

From what I've seen, there are criticisms of the Israeli government in Israel's media on a routine basis that would be greeted with outrage if they were expressed here. They can have a open debate there but we're not supposed to have it here.
I think many of us who criticize Israel do so, not because we want Israel to disappear, but because we want Israel to become a better country.
