Flaherty is such a clueless moron. He's no doubt got in his head some idiotic notion that he was a deficit fighter, and all the facts and his own personal experiences are just too complicated.
He's also, no doubt again, vaguely aware that he's lying but that there are absolutely no penalties for huge lies in our political system.
