My only reason for not quite saying let teh Merkins stew in own juices over the detainees is that Steve's position seems to me still a problem for us. He takes that position in continuing agreement with BushCo and those of that ilk. He is endorsing the original abductions/detentions/abuse exactly as the paranoid xenophobes in the U.S. are doing. I mean, if we don't still sound afeard to have these people on our soil, that might make it look as though most of them were innocent in the first place, and we can't have that, can we? Plus even if they're innocent, they have to be guilty somehow or our world will fall apart.
