Friday night

I've gone a whole week without hardly thinking about politics. No reason to start now. This should warm things up nicely.

And now we'll slow things down again.

I went looking for this song by title and found a performance of Tore Down I hadn't seen before. It appears to be Clapton fronting John Mayall's band with a full horn section. Big band. Welcome to the weekend.

You are aware, I hope, that the Bluesfest is on in Ottawa right now. My roommate is a huge blues fan, and she had a grand time last night listening to Monkey Junk and friends.

Roy and Norton are absolute magic -- I just loved that, pogge.

A question: Why does "Tore Down" keep making me think of "Blue Suede Shoes"?
