Friday night

So I took a few minutes, went to YouTube and checked out some Viking Death Metal. I had no idea that human vocal chords could make a sound quite like that.

Here's Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan on Ask Me No Questions.

There's another tune on the flip.

These were taped at a television studio in Hamilton in 1983 for a program called In Session. Here's Matchbox Blues. Have a good weekend. And this is a reminder that courtesy of Absolute McGuinty's government this is now a long weekend in Ontario. I'd forgotten all about that until today.

It's not that hard for most men to get their voices into that range (although doing it without losing your voice is the trick). It's much rarer for women, though; I'm not sure why. Still, here's Arch Enemy on album (which is partly processed), and live.

viking kittens is where it's at.....
Way better. :)
