So it turns out those of us who thought Rick Hillier was a little too quick to shoot his mouth off in front of the cameras aren't raving moonbats who don't support the troops after all. We were just ahead of our time.

What's wrong with raving moonbats,
Some of our best etc.?

"I see everything twice!" said Dunbar.

The duplicate comment thing is odd but it only seems to happen the first time someone comments since our server move. Then it goes away. Which makes it even more odd.

Hi, I'm back from vacation.

Well, I find it interesting that the response of mr. "Bluff, straightforward warrior" was to spin the situation by saying that his position was actually just the same as the government's. I continue to think that the whole "Shucks, I'm just an unpolished sojer saying what he thinks" thing is no more than an act coming from an accomplished bureaucratic infighter and quite possibly would-be politician.

“Canada does not have responsibility for the long-term professionalization, professional development and major equipping of the Afghan National Army, which in my view, will take a significant period of time.”

That comment should have been broadcast loud and clear a year or so ago. Time someone in authority admitted both our limitations and the limits of our liability instead of just tap-dancing with "Support the troops!"
