Apparently this is Willie Dixon's band before Willie actually comes on stage. Flip, Flop & Fly. I've always liked this tune. (Note: there is no Downchild Blues Band on YouTube. Pity.)

AHHHHHHHHH! That was better than an ice cold beer on a sleepless night in July.........and oh to be the woman that song was written for. A thought about Willie Dixon.....if he wasn't on stage for that number, perhaps it was because he knows when he's got a good thing goin' on.......the audience can wait, but not his baby!!!!

skdadl, I most heartily agree, steam for breakfast is absolutely wonderful at any time of year ......however for those who have yet to meet their commitment to capitalism for the year 2006 and those unable to express their feelings and/or emotions,(due to a poorly programed Y chromosome or, regardless of xx or xy model, an abundance of denial which is often coupled with a shortage of courage, to cite just a couple of examples), in any manner beyond the realm of commercialism....steam just ain't gonna cut it this last chance shopping weekend......I suggest after a generous helping of steam, a stick to your ribs bowl of oatmeal...not the processed kind....the good stuff that takes at least 20 minutes to cook. And you are on your way nicely satisfied.
p.s. skdadl........happens to be one of my favourate words....nice to see others putting it to such good use.

skdadl, I'm outed....you've called me on hoping to emulate the qualities of a being so significantly more advanced than, I fear, we human beings even have the capacity to fathom in real terms. (Pick a country, pick a war.....). While feeling shamed and naked at losing a strategic part of my guise, I am honoured that you would even consider some sort of familial connection might exist.
As for a friendship be warned......I don't do psuedo, surface, or insincere anything.....that being said, I look forward to your upcoming posts, including the ones which spell out how craftily we are managing to set in motion the extinction of the human race, even ahead of the pace at which we are pillaging our oh so beautiful abode.
p.s. did I mention that I'm a horrible speller and too lazy to use spell check most of the time
qt314, our expert on the extinction of the human race has tended to be mahigan, although the rest of us can sing descant when required.
We don't do pseudo or insincere either, although I gotta tell you, some days I find such solace in surface.
