I don't do this very often and I don't do it just 'cos the blogger links to a few of my posts. But I'm doing it today. Go read Ian Welsh. I'll even give you choices: you can read him at Tilting at Windmills, the E-Group or BOP News. There will be a test.

Didn't have time to read the article in its entirety, but I think the last sentence tells me all I need to know.

Good reference... !

There is an obvious reason to link to this one - it's an excellent post. It also says many of the same things I have been saying for about 20+ years although not always as articulately (but I have used a line about "being chained to the deck rail of the Titanic" in the past). The US economy is in such a mess I can't imagine who they could elect at this point who could keep it from imploding. Ian is right - Martin, Manley and Harper are all pursuing deep integration with a death ship. We either extricate ourselves or go down with their ship.

Besides, my old knees can't stand that much bending anymore.

Very well done. One reservation: one of babble's resident lawyers says that he does not accept, as Ian does, that the justice minister would have known of the investigation and charges against Emery ahead of time -- the police and a BC judge are enough to have done the trick. Lawyer also says that, although recent and ongoing fiddling with the extradition treaty would appear to make it harder for Emery to defend, the justice minister may step in to stop extradition and probably will.

I'm just reporting here. Me, I dunno. The outrages just keep on coming, though, don't they.

Nice Blog! I've decided to book mark it. Here is one recent entry I did on the Conservative party.
