I must be a liberal because I just won Best Liberal Blog for 2004. The full results of the 2004 Canadian Blog Awards are here.
Thanks to Robert McClelland for putting on this event. Congratulations to all the other winners. And obviously thanks to whoever nominated and voted for me.
And I hope everyone who voted took the opportunity to look at the other nominees and discover how much interesting stuff is out there. If Robert runs this again next year, I bet the results will look a lot different.
Now if everyone will kindly remember that's it's liberal, not Liberal. I have no intention of taking it on the chin for Paul Martin, who I understand won the award for Best Impression of a Prime Minister Without Actually, You Know, Being One.
Update:
I figured I should throw in a link to the song from which I stole the title.

pogge,
Congratulations. You had some stiff competition, there are some terrific writers and thinkers lurking above the 49th.
pogge, I am grinning from ear to ear and turning somersaults, and that was even before I read Earl! ;)
Nice allusion, but we already did -- love you, I mean. Congratulations.
Now you're just going to have to give up that money making stuff and start posting like a madman to keep the Liberal hordes happy.
It just doesn't have the same ring as "socialist hordes" somehow...
Good job. Keep posting.
Yes, congratulations -
The low-l liberal is a pogge
The cap-L Liberal is a rogue
But I would bet my own two doggies
There's no such thing as a Liberal Bloggie!
Congrats pogge. You were honestly the class of the field.
POGGE, my sincerest congratulations, this award is most deserved. It is nice to see Damian's thoughts above mine as he was the one who pointed me in your direction about four months ago. He very graciously welcomed me to the blogosphere and in an email suggested that I look up both you and Greg at Sinister Thoughts as he suggested you were both the two best liberal blogs in Canada. Damian is a good judge of character, and who knows, there may be hope for his politics yet! :)
While the liberal blogosphere has been expanding lately and has much depth, I think I can speak for most of us in saying that you are the example that we should all strive to follow. Again, congratulations.
